Cologne Commutations Rendez-Vous

Our international "3rd Cologne Commutations Rendez-Vous" with participations from 95 companies was staged in Cologne from
3 to 5 December 2007. The meeting was, again, initiated and organized by GLOBAL Re in a joint effort with Cavell Management Services.
Based on Cavell's famous event in Norwich (UK), this Rendez-Vous brought together European insurers and reinsurers to discuss closing down business relationships in the most efficient way possible; one trip to Cologne might have saved having to travel to ten or fifteen different cities to hold talks.
Since run-off business keeps growing by an estimated 10% annually, commutations are also becoming ever more important. This was the motive behind the decision to arrange an event in Continental Europe much like the perennially successful Commutations Rendez-Vous in Norwich. Moreover, GLOBAL Re is not only carrying on the greatest run-off ever in the history of reinsurance, the company has meanwhile also won a market position as a provider of services for run-off companies. The event thus allowed the participants to collect information about the services offered by GLOBAL Re directly from the source in a number of personal talks.

Both the organizers and participants agreed in their judgment that this Rendez-Vous was even more successful than the first two.

The "4th Cologne Commutations Rendez-Vous" will take place in March 2009.
