GLOBAL Re provides run-off services

The GLOBAL Re Group went into run-off in 2002. We now provide our valuable skills and experience to other companies with run-off portfolios.

GLOBAL Re, once the sixth largest reinsurance group in the world, ceased underwriting non-life business in October 2002. It is considered one of the biggest run-offs in reinsurance history.

Over recent years, more and more (re-)insurance companies have decided to put portfolios into run-off, be it certain classes or their entire portfolio. Having undergone and experienced various opportunities and risks of a run-off, GLOBAL Re will use the experience gained for providing their services. GLOBAL Re perceives its special competitive advantages in Continental Europe for the steadily increasing demand for which there are few providers who are as well positioned as GLOBAL Re.

GLOBAL Re’s core competences are in the development and implementation of exit strategies, consulting and realisation of commutations, claims management, collection of receivables and supporting liquidity and cash management.
